I watched this with expectations of it being similar to "The Notebook" but was pleasantly surprised by the greater impact of the film. The performances by the cast were commendable, while the story was tragic but gratifying. The score was hauntingly beautiful and made, what I felt, the film itself. The different time lapses were a bit tricky but worked well with telling the story.
