Going in with low expectations helped make this one of the best comic book movies I've seen. There was enough character buildup and action to keep the story intriguing and semi-realistic. Despite my doubts, Downy Jr. was perfectly cast as the sarcastic, but empathetic, protagonist. Terrence Howard provides unexpected comic relief, even more-so than Downey Jr. The only downfall was Paltrow's uninspiring and dull presence. Looking forward to the sequel.
