While most Will Smith films are guaranteed successes, "Hancock" falls a bit short this time, on the brink of average. It starts off fine, with the drunken humor and mishaps of a shunned superhero, but quickly turns into something else as the plot goes on. The sudden turn of events makes the storyline feel almost disconnected, from comedy to drama. The villain was also very weak, if not, non-existent. Nevertheless, the acting is solid and the stunts are present enough to provide a decent film.
