A great take on a modern-day fairytale with a solid cast. Christina Ricci's performance is enjoyable and brings a uniqueness to her character. As cheesy as the plot may sound, the humor is abundantly present. Although the film would have benefited from a longer time frame to develop the characters further, it is still a satisfying story for anyone who grew up with "Beauty and the Beast."
