I Love You, Man

Release Date: Mar 20, 2009
Runtime: 1 hr. 50 min.
Director: John Hamburg
Cast: Paul Rudd, Jason Segel, Rashida Jones, Andy Samberg, J Simmons.

It's about time there are more movies made these days that are the guy-equivalent of chick flicks. And who better to rep a bromance than Paul Rudd and Jason Segal. Through awkward moments and weirdly-catchy catchphrases, the film delivers laughs with a little "aw factor." Inspite of this, it is still no Judd Apatow. The supporting cast could've been better, especially Rashida Jones. Whether it was poor writing for her character or just her lack of chemistry with Paul Rudd, she was the weakest of the bunch. Jaime Pressly, on the other hand, was surprisingly great as the new Leslie Mann-type. In the end, I wished the man-dates were better and more over-the-top but overall, it was a good comedy.

Rating: 3½ stars
