Monsters vs. Aliens

With a few nods to the old school "horror" films, DreamWorks brings another animated film that's not quite up to Pixar standards, but enough to get the kiddies laughing (and some full-grown adults). The concept is solid, along with a group of recognizable individuals. Half the fun is guessing who voices who, though i think B.O.B. (Rogan) is the real scene-stealer. The only setback is the title itself and how it plays out in the film. Susan, aka Ginormica, seems to battle it out more than the other creatures of the weird, which makes it instead, "Monster vs. Aliens." Nevertheless, the ending leaves room for an inevitable sequel that will surely be open to infinite possibilities. "Monsters vs. the Recession," anyone?
