It's been awhile since a film has been this effortlessly funny. And by awhile, I mean since the last Apatow film. But don't be deceived by the lack of Seth Rogan or Jason Segal in the casting. Paul Rudd and Sean William Scott set their own comedic pace in this inappropriately funny take on being a "role model." Jane Lynch steals the scenes yet again as an ex-drug addict-come-counselor of kids in need of love. McLovin' fits right in as a sword-wielding L.A.I.R.E. while Bobb'e J. Thompson only seems to have profanity in his vocabulary. Sure, the film gets a bit weird towards the end with the switch to medieval times on crack, but all ends well with a sappy moral. Bottom-line: watch it.
